Late November will see the release of five new episodes created by the original creators and featuring the main voice cast.
Adult Swim has confirmed the return of Frylock, Master Shake, and Meatwad in Season 12 of the beloved animated comedy Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The new season is set to premiere on November 26th at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, with the option to catch the episodes on Max the following day.
After an almost eight-year hiatus since the show’s cancellation in 2015, the iconic fast-food characters will be joined by their neighbor Carl in five new episodes. The original creators, Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro are overseeing the season, which also features the main voice cast members, including Willis, Dana Snyder, and Carey Means. Additionally, expect to see guest appearances from Eric Bauza, Brian Cox, Dan Fogler, Maurice LaMarche, and Gary Anthony Williams.
Here’s the official description:
“Aqua Teen Hunger Force is making a triumphant return to bring some much-needed entertainment back to your screens in Season 12. It’s not exactly a comeback, but it certainly feels that way. This mini-season consists of five fresh episodes, filled with the same brand of mind-boggling silliness you know and love. While the season may be short, the laughs per episode are off the charts. The story continues from where it left off in 2015, with Master Shake, Frylock, Meatwad, and Carl addressing today’s modern problems. Be prepared for bizarre encounters with A.I. appliances, involvement in an apocalyptic fitness cult, and an exploration of friendship within ancient Egyptian pyramid schemes. All dilemmas will be resolved, and your brain will be thoroughly melted. Did Adult Swim tinker with a winning formula? Absolutely! Master Shake now boasts two brand-new facial expressions – ‘Bemused’ and ‘Lips Pursed in Thought,’ and Shake can even close his hands as if to hold things. Frylock is now towering at sixty stories high, and Meatwad gets around by bouncing. Tune in to see if we’re telling the truth!”
