Marlena Wesh is now engaged and eagerly anticipating the “next chapter” in her love story! The former contestant on The Bachelor and ex-Olympian, who gained recognition on the show’s 26th season in 2022, shared her plans to marry her now-fiancé Tommaso Martelli in a heartfelt Instagram post on Christmas morning.
“I have so much I want to say… But I can’t find the words right now,” expressed Wesh, 32, to her followers. “Thank you @tommy_405 for being intentional with my heart. Thank you for loving me in strength and weakness. Thank you for fighting for me. Thank you for always choosing me 🥺.”
“I will never forget this day. A million times yes,” she added. “I am so excited for this next chapter in our love story. Marlena Martelli has a nice 💍 to it. 🥹🇮🇹❤️ #fiancé”
In an Instagram carousel post, Wesh revealed her engagement ring in pictures with her partner, dressed in a red gown and a tiny Santa hat. Martelli, sporting a big smile, held a bouquet and later a bottle, presumably containing champagne.
The festive engagement photos included shots of a Christmas tree, pictures with loved ones in Italy (where the photos were tagged), and an emotional video of Wesh and Martelli seemingly sharing the happy news with their family. “Daddy, you knew!” she exclaimed during a FaceTime call.
Congratulatory messages poured in from friends and fellow Bachelor Nation members, such as Natasha Parker, Rachel Recchia, Genevieve Parisi, and Deandra Kanu. “Congratulations beautiful!!! I love love!!! ❤️😍,” commented Charity Lawson.
Wesh, originally from Virginia and previously featured on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, publicly acknowledged her relationship with her Italian fiancé in May, celebrating his birthday. The couple briefly shared details of their love story in a July video, revealing they met on the dating app Bumble in Florida.
“Dating sucks. Seriously. I can’t tell you how many dating apps I downloaded and deleted after swiping for 10 minutes. It gave me anxiety… until one day… I downloaded Bumble, paid for premium, and put my feet 👣 up. This cute thing was on the other side, and it’s been history ever since,” wrote Wesh at the time.
