TBS has stopped making miracles happen. They’ve officially ended Miracle Workers, the last live-action comedy on the network, after four seasons.
This decision comes about three months after the Season 4 finale aired on Aug. 28. In the show’s different seasons, Steve Buscemi played God in the first season, and Daniel Radcliffe portrayed a low-level angel.
The following seasons explored the Dark Ages (Season 2) and the Oregon Trail (Season 3).
In the last season called “End Times,” Steve Buscemi, Daniel Radcliffe, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni, and Jon Bass played brand-new characters. These characters found themselves in a not-so-great future filled with radioactive mutants, killer robots, and a bossy homeowner’s association that charged crazy annual fees, as described officially.
Joining the main cast were special guests Quinta Brunson from Abbott Elementary, Garcelle Beauvais from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Mooney, and Ego Nwodim from Saturday Night Live, Lolly Adefope from Shrill, Paul F. Tompkins from HouseBroken, and singer Lisa Loeb.
With Miracle Workers ending, American Dad is now the only remaining original scripted show on TBS. Currently in its 18th season and already renewed for a 19th, it’s the last of its kind on the network.
