Max is ending its connection with The Tourist show. Season 1, similar to Bourne Identity, will leave Max on September 8. The second season of the UK series won’t be on the same streaming platform in the US.
The first season of The Tourist had six episodes and Max helped make it. It started on HBO Max in March 2022. Even though it got renewed for a second season by BBC, Max is not making it anymore. This might be because the first season didn’t do very well on Max. It’s not known if the company that made The Tourist is talking to other American channels to show both the first and second seasons.
Season 2 of The Tourist is done being made. In this season, Elliot and Helen go to Ireland so Elliot can remember his past. But things get bad when his old life catches up with him. The show will be on BBC, but the date isn’t known yet. Jamie Dornan, who plays Elliot, is really excited to continue the story. He thinks the writers are great and he’s looking forward to showing how Ireland adds mystery to the story.
