Netflix has added a new drama called “53 Domingos” to its lineup of Spanish films. Directed by Cesc Gay, this movie is based on his own successful play. It tells the story of three brothers dealing with their elderly father’s strange behavior. The family meeting starts off civil but turns into a chaotic argument about what to do with him.
In the film, you’ll see familiar faces like Carmen Machi, Javier Cámara, and Javier Gutierrez. Cesc Gay, known for his hit film “Truman” in 2015, is behind this project. Netflix revealed this film along with two others in its Spanish originals series.

One is a political thriller called “Un Fantasma en la Batalla,” and the other is an investigative drama named “La Desconocida.”
“Un Fantasma en la Batalla” explores the lives of members of Spain’s Guardia Civil who fought against the Basque terrorist group ETA in the 1990s and 2000s.
On the other hand, “La Desconocida” delves into the dark world of human trafficking by following the investigation into the identity of a woman found in a container in Barcelona with no memory of who she is or how she got there.
