Hulu has officially given the green light for the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building now that the WGA strike has concluded.
The third season’s premiere marked a milestone as it became the most-watched scripted Hulu Original of 2023. The season introduced guest appearances by acclaimed actors Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd, joining the ensemble cast led by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, as they delve into a murder mystery tied to the Broadway world.
Paul Rudd took on the role of Ben Glenroy, a Hollywood action star whose Broadway aspirations are tragically curtailed, while Meryl Streep portrayed the character Loretta Durkin. The show’s popularity is further evidenced by its status as Hulu’s highest-rated comedy original series to date.
Only Murders in the Building is brought to life by co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who also serve as executive producers alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman (creator of This Is Us), and Jess Rosenthal.
This intriguing series is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios. In the upcoming January, it will be competing for an Emmy in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, alongside other notable contenders like Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Bear, Jury Duty, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Ted Lasso, and Wednesday. Additionally, Martin Short and Nathan Lane have received Emmy nominations for their performances in the series.
