Salvor (Leah Harvey) and Gaal (Lou Llobell), who have discovered they are mother and daughter, find themselves in the same timeframe, facing a new crisis. Each character represents a poetic duality, with one looking toward the future and the other reflecting on the past. As they traverse the galaxy, the sociopathic ruler Brother Day (Lee Pace) experiences personal turmoil at home while developing a close relationship with Demerzel (Laura Birn), who essentially serves as his robotic mother. This complex dynamic adds another layer to the story of a universe on the verge of annihilation and the impending struggle for power.
