Chloe Domont’s first movie, which is coming out soon, is all about testing the relationship of a young couple. Netflix says it’s a very tense and emotional experience.
“When Emily (Phoebe Dynevor) and Luke (Alden Ehrenreich), who used to be supportive partners, both want a promotion at a competitive financial company, their relationship starts turning dark. As their power balance changes, they have to confront the real cost of success and how ambition can be unsettling.
In her first movie, Chloe Domont, the writer and director, creates a tense story about relationships. It shows how changing times can affect how partners interact. The movie also features Eddie Marsan, Rich Sommer, and Sebastian De Souza. Fair Play explores the uncomfortable clash between feeling empowered and being driven by ego.”
Talking about her new movie, director Chloe told Netflix: “This was a story that I really needed to tell. It was important to me.
“I wanted to deal with feelings from my past that I hadn’t resolved. I used to date men who seemed uncomfortable with how ambitious I was or even the little things I achieved. These ways of interacting shouldn’t be seen as normal anymore,” she said.
