Oscar 2023 performers
The 2023 Oscars have a chance to feature an impressive lineup of performers, given the nominees for Best Original Song. Four out of five nominees in this category are confirmed to perform at the ceremony, including Rihanna for “Lift Me Up,” Diane Warren and Sofia Carson for Warren’s nominated song “Applause,” David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu, and Son Lux for Everything Everywhere All at Once’s “This Is a Life,” and Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava for RRR’s “Naatu Naatu.”
The Oscars creative team announced that Lady Gaga will not be performing her Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from Top Gun: Maverick due to her busy schedule filming Joker: Folie a Deux. It remains unclear if the song will be performed in any other manner during the ceremony.
In addition, Lenny Kravitz has been confirmed to perform the “In Memoriam” segment of the broadcast, which will honor the film industry figures who have passed away in the past year.

What else we know about the Oscars 2023 awards ceremony
Similar to most of the 21st century except for last year’s ceremony, the 95th Oscars will be held at The Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Additional details for the upcoming event are currently limited, but it has been confirmed that veteran live TV producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner will be producing the ceremony, and Molly McNearney, Jimmy Kimmel’s wife and co-head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live, will serve as an executive producer.
It is currently unknown whether any of the unique elements from the 2022 Oscar ceremony will be retained, such as presenting eight awards before the ceremony and incorporating them into the broadcast, as well as fan-voted categories for favorite movies and favorite movie moments.

This year’s Oscars feature 23 categories, honoring a wide range of achievements in filmmaking including Best Picture, acting performances, screenplays, and behind-the-scenes work. The following is a list of all categories for this year’s awards:

Who is predicted to win big at this year’s awards?
The Best Picture award, which is the most highly anticipated of the night, is traditionally announced towards the end of the ceremony, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats to see which movie will take home the prestigious prize. Everything Everywhere All At Once, with the most nominations in the major category, is the clear front-runner, but it faces stiff competition from other contenders like The Banshees of Inisherin, which has already won several awards this season, and Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, a heartfelt tribute to the art of filmmaking.
However, the Best Picture award has been known to go to unexpected winners in the past, making the German-language war film, All Quiet on the Western Front, a dark horse candidate that could potentially take the prize. A win for this film would also be a significant victory for streaming services, particularly after CODA’s win in 2022. All Quiet on the Western Front’s chances have been boosted following its BAFTA Outstanding Film win in February.
