Lee Jihan, who was born on August 3, 1998, entered the Korean entertainment industry for the first time by competing in Produce 101's second season.
In his initial audition for the programme, Lee, who was then a K-pop trainee with Pan Entertainment, sang a cover of EXO's "Overdose."
The crowd crush that occurred over the weekend in Seoul left at least 153 people dead, including Lee Jihan.
