The audience score for Disney’s Strange World was the lowest in the company’s history.
The 61st animated feature by directors Dom Hall and Qui Nguyen, follows the Clades family as they discover the enigmatic planet Avalonia.
Due to the on-screen depictions of LGBTQIA+ groups, the movie generated controversy prior to its release in a number of different nations.
Early in its theatrical run, Strange World has received lukewarm critical acclaim. At the time of writing, it has a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Although it is difficult to predict whether Strange World will succeed heading into the holiday season, its Audience Score may be a sign that the future is not that promising for Disney’s most recent release.
