Stephen Bear, a reality TV personality, has been convicted by a court in the United Kingdom for distributing intimate videos and photos without consent. The Chelmsford Crown Court has sentenced him to 21 months in jail after he was found guilty of voyeurism and intentionally causing distress by sharing private sexual material featuring himself and his former girlfriend, who is a celebrity from the show “Love Island.” The footage was uploaded to OnlyFans.
Bear, the individual in question, has participated in reality shows such as “Ex on the Beach” and won “Celebrity Big Brother” in the past.
Harrison, a well-known personality from “The Only Way Is Essex” and “Olivia Meets Her Match,” opted not to remain anonymous during the legal proceedings.
According to the court, the sexual encounter between Bear and Harrison took place in August 2020 and was consensual. However, Harrison was not aware that it was being recorded and only discovered its online circulation later on.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court imposed a restraining order on Bear, prohibiting him from contacting Harrison for a period of five years. Furthermore, he is obligated to register as a sex offender.
Harrison expressed that the incident was her “worst nightmare” and that she experienced a sense of physical discomfort.
During the court hearing, Harrison shared that the incident caused her immense distress, as she had to face the fact that her friends, family members, and colleagues had become aware of it. Additionally, Bear’s mocking behavior on social media further added to her suffering.
The presiding judge, Christopher Morgan, stated that Bear had intentionally aimed to cause significant distress and humiliation to Georgia Harrison. This was demonstrated by his refusal to remove the video from his OnlyFans site despite Harrison’s request. The video was widely distributed and viewed, causing her public embarrassment.
