Did Netflix’s Love Is Blind reunion live up to the hype? You can now decide for yourself. The Season 4 special, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, is finally available on the streaming service, 19 hours after it was originally scheduled to stream live.
On April 4, Netflix announced that their second-ever live special would be the Season 4 reunion, set to debut at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Sunday night. However, due to technical issues, it did not happen as planned. Many Variety staffers were present at the Hollywood viewing party, where the reunion eventually streamed for the crowd, despite being filmed just a few blocks away. However, for most viewers watching from home, it was still unavailable.
Initially, the error message displayed on the web browser user interface stated: “Apologies for the interruption. We’re experiencing difficulties in playing Netflix. Please verify your internet connection and try again.”
Vanessa Lachey expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and shared a video of herself and her husband ready to go live in front of the studio audience, thanking them for their enthusiasm about the reunion. She assured fans that the delay was not due to the cast, but rather because the demand for the reunion had overwhelmed the internet. A spokesperson for Netflix later apologized for the delay and informed viewers that the special would be available to watch later on Sunday night. Four hours later, Netflix announced that the reunion would be available for streaming at 12 p.m. on Monday. Netflix has not provided further details about the cause of the delay and declined to comment on the issue. For those who missed the live broadcast, a full recap of the drama is available for those who do not wish to watch it now.
