Breaking News: Award-winning actress Judith Light will join Billy Crystal in the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Before.” Crystal is not only starring in the show but also serving as an executive producer. The limited series, produced by Paramount TV Studios and directed by Adam Bernstein for the pilot episode, is a gripping 10-episode psychological thriller.
The story, penned by Sarah Thorp, revolves around Eli (played by Crystal), a child psychiatrist dealing with the aftermath of losing his wife, Lynn (portrayed by Light). As Eli navigates through his grief, he encounters a troubled young boy with an eerie connection to his past.
Lynn (played by Light) is the mysterious love interest in Eli’s life. However, her recent death holds secrets. As Eli investigates the hidden aspects of his supposedly familiar wife, he discovers Lynn’s lingering presence, seemingly reaching out from the afterlife.
Sarah Thorp takes on the role of showrunner and executive producer alongside Crystal, Eric Roth, Bernstein, and Jet Wilkinson. Adam Bernstein steps in as the director, succeeding Barry Levinson, who left earlier this year.
