Ezra Miller of “The Flash” claims they are receiving treatment for “complicated mental health issues.”
Miller broke their silence about their troublesome behavior in recent years, which has led to a series of legal issues and assault and abuse charges, according to a statement released to Variety by a representative of the actor. Miller also expressed regret for their behavior.
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment, I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”Ezra Miller
Ezra Miller was recently charged with felony burglary in Vermont after state police investigated an incident in which several bottles of wine were stolen from a home while the owners were not present.
The actor made headlines in 2020 after a recording of them choking a woman outside of an Icelandic bar leaked. There were no charges filed.
This year, the actor was detained twice in Hawaii, both times for disorderly conduct and harassment.
Ezra Miller pled not guilty to a single count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct in Hawaii and paid a $500 fine and $30 in court costs. The harassment charge was dropped.
According to the Associated Press, the parents of an 18-year-old filed a protection order against Miller this year, accusing him of grooming and other inappropriate activity with her as a minor since she was 12 years old. She did, however, tell Insider that the charges are baseless.
Miller appeared in “Justice League,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Suicide Squad,” and Zach Synder’s “Justice League” as Barry Allen and the superhero speedster Flash.
Though Miller is supposed to star in the upcoming “The Flash” film, his recent legal troubles and erratic behavior have prompted concerns about the film’s release.
“The Flash” is planned to hit theatres on June 23, 2023, and is expected to be an important entry in the studio’s DC Comics movie, including appearances by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as Batman.
