Benedict Cumberbatch is back
Benedict Cumberbatch and James McAvoy will play two characters in 29 AD. Even with its emphasis on religious themes, Samuel hints that his film “The Book of Clarence, is a full fun-filled extravaganza.”
This movie will be following Stanfield’s Clarence, an unlucky denizen of Jerusalem who tries to use his celebrity status as well as the influence of the Messiah for his own personal gain.
The film will feature a heavy emphasis on the idea of faith, and how one person can find an unexpected path in life.
About The Book of Clarence
Legendary Pictures will be taking over production duties, with work on the film expected to start in December 5, 2022.
Jeymes Samuel says about the film:
“You remember those biblical epics, whether they were about the Bible or just taking place around it, from The Ten Commandments to The Greatest Story Ever Told, Samson and Delilah and Ben-Hur, which runs alongside all that stuff in the Bible?”
This isn’t the first time the two top Hollywood stars have appeared together. Benedict Cumberbatch and James McAvoy previously starred in Starter for Ten, in 2006.
