Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle makes his return to Hollywood with another movie. This time around, he brings us Babylon starring Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt.
The latest trailer for the movie dropped on Thursday evening.
What is Babylon about?
The trailer gives viewers an idea of what’s expected from this fast-paced and action-packed romance story set against Hollywood roots times when switching from silent films to talkies was challenging but exciting at the same time.
We see both see Pitt and Robbie as drugged-out characters who are tuned to the underbelly of Hollywood. Both of these characters have an opposing point of view and reactions throughout the movie, with both concerned about their own survival.
Babylon is based on the era when jazz, silent movies, and drugs reigned supreme. The story follows several characters who are trying to find themselves in New York City during Prohibition – a time when alcohol was illegal and people could get thrown into jail just for owning beer!
You can see Robbie’s character talking to Diego Calva, who plays a Latino character in the film.
Babylon will also include Li Jun Li, Jean Smart, Tobey Maguire, Olivia Wilde and Max Minghella, among many others. It will hit theaters on December 23, 2022.
